What we pray for
The group formed to pray for the situation in Ukraine, which remains a constant priority for the group’s prayers, but has expanded to pray for all places in crisis.
Amongst these there is a particular focus on ‘Level 3’ humanitarian emergencies. These are the contexts which the United Nations consider as the crises needing the most humanitarian support. In addition to these, we incorporate other places as the needs arise.
How we pray
We have a variety of speakers, from a variety of backgrounds, using a variety of styles to facilitate prayer.
We often rely on the UNOCHA Situation Reports (see https://reports.unocha.org ) to provide impartial, factual information on current needs. Some of those leading sessions work for or have worked for humanitarian agencies.
When and where we pray
We meet every other week, on a Sunday evening from 6-7pm, in the church building.
Please see the ‘What’s On’ section of this website for the latest dates for the group,
